Answer the phone. Tell caller to turn off their radio (to prevent feedback)
Tell caller that you’re going to put them on the air.
Put the telephone in your lap, on the floor, or someplace away from the MIC.
On the mixer board, push the PGM & AUD buttons for the telephone channel (make sure the buttons are illuminated).
Move the slider for the telephone channel up
Push the TEL button on any other channels you want them to hear over the phone (assume they’re no longer listening to their radio). For example, if you want them to hear music from a CD the push the TEL button for that CD channel.
To adjust the level of the caller’s voice, use the CUE knob along the right side of the mixer.
TO REMOVE THE CALLER’S VOICE FROM THE BROADCAST: Push the PGM button on the telephone channel.
TO PREVENT THE CALLER FROM HEARING A PARTICULAR CHANNEL OVER THE PHONE: Turn the TEL button off for any channel you don’t want them to hear.
